About
Langford Ink is a network of professionals providing marketing support for Northland businesses. The business comprises a loosely knit team of graphic designers, web developers and other specialists (a photographer, an illustrator) led by copywriter, design manager and marketing advisor, Catherine Langford — that’s me.
We tailor our product to each client’s needs, drawing on skills as required to provide a comprehensive marketing solution. Not quite a one-stop-shop, but that’s the general idea. We aim to take the mystery out of marketing and communications, to offer simple, effective ideas that bring fresh vibrancy to a business.
About me: I trained in London, firstly in internal communications in the press office of BBC Worldwide. I sharpened up my editorial skills at Phaidon Press, the grand dame of British art publishing houses, before moving on to a full communications role at Grimshaw Architects, an award-winning international architecture practice and designer of the Eden Project in Cornwall. I was the Communications Manager at Grimshaw until I left London to travel in 2007.
Since arriving in New Zealand I have worked with a fairly wide range of businesses, predominantly tourism and hospitality. I am heavily involved in a volunteer project management capacity for Fish Forever, the marine protection arm of the Bay of Islands Maritime Park Inc.
